The Story

Tucked away in the swamps of New Orleans, the Twisted Carnival—also known as Norman Barley’s Side Show—thrives as a macabre spectacle created by the enigmatic Norman, an entrepreneur with a taste for the bizarre. Scouring the globe for oddities, he transformed people into freaks for his collection, often killing them shortly afterward. His sideshow of curiosities, far beyond societal norms, draws both fascination and fear. The carnival frequently clashes with the MuLock Tribe, a powerful group of Voodoo practitioners dedicated to protecting the land from evil forces and dark magic.

Norman Barley, an enigmatic entrepreneur with a taste for the peculiar and extraordinary, embarked on a daring venture by creating a sideshow unlike any other: the Norman Barley Sideshow. Nestled within the shadows of a forgotten locations, this macabre spectacle became a haven for the most astonishing and peculiar individuals who ever graced the stage. Norman meticulously scoured the globe in search of extraordinary beings, assembling a collection of freaks, curiosities, and oddities that pushed the boundaries of what society deemed “normal.” With a keen eye for the peculiar, Norman curated a mesmerizing ensemble, where outcasts found solace and belonging. The sideshow emerged as a sanctuary where the extraordinary could embrace their differences and captivate audiences, transcending the realm of ordinary entertainment.

MuLock Tribe Characters

The MuLock Tribe, a united collective of extraordinary beings, assumes the critical role of safeguarding the lands against malevolence. Deeply attuned to the delicate balance between good and evil, they devised a unique tool known as the Deck of Misfortune. This mystical deck enables them to perceive the vast array of potential outcomes, empowering them to carefully select the optimal path in their quest for protection and justice. With unwavering dedication, the MuLock Tribe utilizes the Deck of Misfortune as a guiding compass, ensuring that their actions serve the greater good and secure the safety of the realms they hold dear.

What Ifs

The MuLocks, a trio of powerful sorceresses dedicated to protecting a magical land, were founded by the first sorceress, SeCate. Upon her death, her magical book was passed to her successor, SaDue, who became the Queen of the MuLocks. However, one of the MuLocks, LoSho, betrayed her sisters, SaDue and ZeLena, by stealing the book and giving it to Norman Barley, the owner of the Twisted Carnival also known as Norman Barley’s Side Show. Barley used the book to enhance his show’s dark spectacle. When SaDue and ZeLena discovered the betrayal, they turned to LoSho’s twin sister, EnGa, for help. Together, they created the Deck of Misfortune to trap Barley and his circus crew, protecting their land and its people from the dangerous power of the magical book.

The Deck of Misfortune shows the MuLock Tribe possible futures so that they can choose the best path forward. The following films are those possible futures that never happened.
