C. G. Hamil

Created by C. G. Hamil, Twisted Carnival is a gateway into a world of imaginative supernatural horror designed to captivate and chill. Hamil’s journey as a multidisciplinary creator began in 1996 when mentor Derek Johnson introduced him to the world of computer networking and the vital power of self-education.

Throughout the late 90s, Hamil methodically built his creative toolkit—mastering Adobe Photoshop in 1997, photography in 1998, and web design by 1999. These skills eventually converged into a passion for videography and digital storytelling.

In 2013, inspired by the rising energy of Comic-Con culture, Hamil birthed the Twisted Carnival universe and its foundational characters: OzBo, Akain, Ringmaster, and LoSho. This led to his 2014 filmmaking debut, Documentary of OzBo, an independent feature that became a cult favorite across the southeastern United States.

After a bold decision in 2020 to reboot the project as a series, Hamil prioritized quality over speed, scrapping and reshooting his initial work to perfect the vision with a new cast. This dedication paid off in 2021 with the successful online release of Twisted Carnival Chapters 1 and 2.

As of 2025, the brand has entered a new era. While the flagship story has transitioned to the title Norman Barley’s Sideshow, the Twisted Carnival name has evolved into an overarching brand—a creative umbrella dedicated to exploring diverse, chilling new tales beyond the Barley mythos.
